Madeline earned a free ticket to a Kane County Cougars baseball game by participating in a reading program at school. She was really excited about going to the game. She told us that she was going to bring her pom poms and cheer every time the Cougars scored a touchdown. =) (Scott just shook his head.)The girls had a great time at the game. They ate hot dogs, cotton candy and peanuts and drank lemonade. Madeline and the rest of the elementary school kids got souvenir t-shirts. They ran around with Sharpie markers and had all their friends sign them. So yes, they had a great time at the baseball game, although I'm fairly confident that none of my children can tell you a single thing that happened on the field... (Actually I take that back, Brianna was very impressed with the Cougars mascot that ran around on the field between innings. She kept calling it a bear.)
