I attended Mallory's preschool production of A Very Hungry Caterpillar this morning. It was cute. As her teacher read the story aloud, a little boy with a length of dryer exhaust ducting (the caterpillar) walked up to pictures of food that the other children were holding and pretended to eat them. At the end of the story, a little boy was wrapped in a blanket (the cocoon) and then emerged as a butterfly and "flew" around the room. It was really cute. Mallory played the part of the salami. She was very believable. = )
Here's Mallory with her friend Jack T. Jack's mom says he talks about Mallory all the time. She told me, "I think he loves her." Mallory, on the other hand, is not so sure. She claims that he's her boyfriend some days (complete with shy smile and giggle) and then barely acknowledges his existence on others.
