I got a call around 11:30 yesterday from the school nurse. Mallory was running a fever. I went to school to pick her up. She came out of the nurse's office looking sad. As we walked out of the school she started to cry. She didn't want to leave school! She was really sad.
Apparently, she started feeling sick when she got to school and spent most of the morning with her head on her desk. According to her teacher, she was acting very un-Mallory-like.
Mallory was very distressed about missing school and claims that she is never going to be sick again. She went on to say that even if she is sick, she is NOT going to the nurse's office and NOT going home! To say that she loves school is an understatement.
