Happy 6th Birthday Madeline!!

Madeline turned 6 on Monday. I can't believe she's already 6! She was ecstatic. She bounced into our room fully dressed. She had selected her outfit by herself, including the ponytail holder. She wanted to look "fancy" since it was her birthday. I sent a piece of birthday cake to school with her for her snack. (She was very surprised.) In school, her birthday was announced over the intercom during the morning announcements and she got to go down to the principal's office to get her rainbow birthday pencil. Her teacher gave her a birthday crown and a birthday sticker to wear. Madeline said she even wore her birthday crown outside during recess!

After school, the Martins stopped by for a little cupcake party. Here's cake #2. It's actually a bunch of cupcakes. I thought it turned out really cute. (Thanks for the molds Aunt Lynne!)

When Scott got home from work we went out for dinner at Red Robin. Madeline was serenaded and received her chocolate birthday sundae.

Madeline finally got to open her presents when we got home. She was very excited about her pink Barbie razor scooter. She has been wanting one for quite a while. She was soon zipping up and down the hallway at an alarming speed.
