Toothless in Aurora

Madeline lost her second tooth yesterday. This one was wiggly for a few weeks and really wiggly for several days. By Saturday, it was getting difficult for her to eat. At one point, Madeline even told Scott that he could pull it out. In the end, however, she got it out on her own. She was very excited.

Madeline had heard that her friend Jacob wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy asking to keep his tooth. She apparently thought this was a brilliant idea. This is the letter that she wrote to the Tooth Fairy last night:

She put her tooth and the note in the tooth box that Jen (aka "JacobMommy") gave her. When she woke up this morning, she was delighted with what she saw. She ran into our room saying "The Tooth Fairy gave me two gifts, my old tooth and a dollar!!" (We are fortunate that the Tooth Fairy had not misplaced the tooth!)
