Brandon Mull!

As part of her in-class reading, Madeline read the book, Fablehaven, by Brandon Mull. The cool part was that she got to read it on a Kindle. (Her teacher received a grant for technology in the classroom.)

Just shortly after finishing the book, Brandon Mull made an appearance in Naperville as part of a book tour for his new book. I took Madeline and her friend Jacob (also a Fablehaven fan) to see him. Madeline and Jacob were so excited. Madeline couldn't believe she was really in the same room as Brandon Mull. She said the only thing better would have been meeting J.K. Rowling - she's still holding out hope that she'll meet her someday.
